\noindent The Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMS) invites
pre-proposals for programs of duration of one to six months in
2010/2011. A pre-proposal is a statement of interest in organizing a
program at the IMS. The pre-proposal should be written using the
following format and in such a way that it is understandable to
non-specialists.

\section{Scientific case for the pre-proposal (not more than 4 pages)}

\item[b.] Explain how your program will be of international interest as well as of interest or relevance to the local scientific community;
\item[c.] Explain the role of mathematical sciences in
your program;
\item[d.] Possible future directions and
developments.

    -   The final organizing committee should include the authors and involve local and overseas scientists.

    -   The Institute has office space for 22 visitors at any one time.
